Progress Daily Skatepark

I opened this skatepark in Columbia, SC because I’ve known these fellas for over 10 years and knew they had the skill and personality to showcase an interesting side of skateboarding in an interesting way. Although I’ve lived in NYC and Los Angeles, and LOVED the skate scenes in both communities, I felt my unique upbringing, put in me in a position to share a different perspective. Skating in a small town is different, every skater in the community needs to stick together and there’s less monetary pressure to perform. There’s a certain brotherhood I haven’t felt since leaving Columbia, and it’s obvious the Progress Dailiens (supporters) recognize that.

MEET THE CREW

Zach Gillespy

Zach Gillespy is probably my oldest friend and an absolute machine on a skateboard. His consistency is unreal, and his ability to learn new tricks in a few tries has always pissed me off. He’s super responsive to DM’s and is technically the manager at the park. He’s the least egotistical, power hungry dude i’ve ever met, and i like when the person in charge is chill. He’s an easy going fella that laughs like a maniac.

IRVING JUAREZ

Irving is the wild card. I’ve been skateboarding with him for over 10 years and I still have no idea what he can and can’t do. I swear I can’t tell if he has masterful control or barely any of his skateboard, but I do know he lands a lot of hard TRICKS, very often. He’s actually a professional skateboarder for Lost Souls Skateboard. He also works for bluetile skateshop, he’s an artist, and his hair is majestical.

ZACH “FOSTER”

Zachary is a soldier hot damn. The amount of hours this dude holds the camera blows my mind. I’ve been friends with him for a long time, and I saw that he would film and edit these smaller projects with local homies and Zach Gillespy. I thought it was fitting that a man who put together a skate video, can help me put together videos for the Progress Daily channel, and he’s been a lovely human.

Daniel hare

I call dan hare our secret weapon. Not only does he shoot all the photos but he is a ridiculously phenomenal skateboarder. Every time he’s on screen the comments go “why isn’t there more Dan???” and it’s simply because he really enjoys shooting behind the scenes. I’ll try my best to get him in front of the camera more often because it really is a treat for everyone.
