About Me

Progress Daily is skatewear by John Hill, which is me…hello. I used to write down “progress daily” on every to do list to motivate myself every morning. I hoped that it could instill the same sense of inspiration to others. The idea is to make a tid bit of progress, no matter how small, to achieve goals.

The world of “skateboard youtube” was a strange reality to step into, it’s permissionless skateboarding. I didn’t know how structured the skateboard industry was, until I moved to California. I realized the opportunities of skateboarders around the world, are limited by their connection to the industry. So I created Progress Daily, not only to make cool clothes that look great on skaters, but to share and learn more about the skate scenes that lie beyond the radar. I’m obsessed with learning about new communities, and of course all skaters share their love of skateboarding, but what is a skate community like in Busan? Are there aspects of the London skate commnunity we haven’t seen? I want to see every thing beyond what we’ve been shown, every thing down to the tiniest group of friends, in a city with little opportunity. Through skateboarding, and empathy, I want to see and learn about the whole damn world. #progressdaily
